How to Describe Your Needs
You don't need to be a technology expert to work with us. Focus on what you know best -
your ministry - and we'll handle the technical details.
Focus on Problems, Not Solutions
The most helpful thing you can do is describe the problem you're trying to solve,
not a specific technical solution. For example:
Instead of: "I need a calendar widget with a database backend"
Say: "Members have trouble finding out about church events"
Instead of: "We need a CMS with role-based access control"
Say: "Different staff members need to update different parts of our website"
Questions to Consider
Think about these questions before our conversation:
- What frustrates you? - What's not working with your current situation?
- Who is affected? - Members? Staff? Visitors? The community?
- What would success look like? - If this problem was solved, what would change?
- How urgent is this? - Is there a deadline or event driving the timeline?
Helpful Details to Share
If you have any of these, they help us understand your context:
- Size of your church or organization
- Who will use the solution (staff, volunteers, members, visitors)
- Current tools you use (even if they're not working well)
- Examples of websites or apps you like
- Budget considerations (though we work with all ministry sizes)
What You Don't Need to Know
Leave these things to us:
- What programming language to use
- What hosting provider is best
- How to structure a database
- Security and compliance requirements
- Technical specifications
Remember
