1. Purpose and Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of all services, systems, platforms, AI agents, and digital tools provided by HarvestEdgeTools, Inc. to churches, ministries, and authorized users (“Partners”) through the Monthly Partnership Donation model.
This AUP applies to all HarvestEdgeTools services, including but not limited to: AI-powered tool building, website development and hosting, email systems, administrative tools, communication platforms, and any digital ministry tools built by the Factory system on behalf of Partners.
Guiding Principle: HarvestEdgeTools exists to equip churches and ministries with professional-grade digital tools, built on AI technology, in alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. This policy ensures shared resources are used responsibly.
2. Quantitative Limits
2.1 Standard Partnership Resource Limits (all Partners)
| Resource | Monthly Limit | Notes |
| AI Agent Compute Time | 10 hours | Wall-clock time during active processing |
| API Calls | 5,000 calls | Individual HTTP requests to HET endpoints |
| Data Storage | 5 GB | Total across all projects and files |
| Active Build Projects | 3 projects | Distinct projects in non-archived state |
| Email Accounts | 5 accounts | Hosted email on Partner’s domain |
| Support Requests | 10 requests | Email-based support |
Note: Resource limits are preliminary and subject to adjustment based on infrastructure capacity.
2.2 Enhanced Resource Allocations
Partners consistently requiring resources beyond the standard limits may contact us about an enhanced allocation. As a matter of stewardship, we suggest Partners with heavier resource use consider a larger Monthly Partnership Donation; an increased donation is never a precondition of service. Enhanced allocation definitions will be established based on operational experience.
2.3 Limit Enforcement
- Usage measured on a calendar-month basis, resets on the first of each month.
- Courtesy notification at 80% utilization.
- At 100%, notification sent and service may be throttled for the remainder of the month.
- Consistent overages (three or more consecutive months) trigger a conversation about the right resource allocation.
- Limits may be adjusted with thirty (30) days’ written notice.
2.4 Resource Measurement
- AI Agent Compute Time is measured as wall-clock time during which an AI agent is actively processing a request on behalf of the Partner.
- API Calls are measured as individual HTTP requests to HarvestEdgeTools endpoints.
- Data Storage is measured as the total volume of data stored across all Partner projects, databases, and file storage, measured at peak usage during the month.
- Active Build Projects are measured as the number of distinct projects in an active (non-archived) state.
3. Prohibited Uses
3.1 Non-Ministry or Primarily Commercial Uses
Partners may NOT use services primarily for purposes unrelated to church ministry, Christian education, or Christian organizational operations, except as permitted under Business Accounts (see Terms of Service Section 2.1). Specifically prohibited:
- Reselling or commercially redistributing tools for profit.
- Operating a competing tool-building service.
- Using services primarily to generate unrelated commercial revenue.
Clarification: A church that shares a template with a sister church (without charge) is not in violation. This prohibition targets commercial exploitation, not ministry collaboration.
3.2 Illegal Activities
- Any activity violating federal, state, or local law.
- Distribution of malware, spam, phishing, or malicious materials.
- Harassment, defamation, fraud, or IP infringement.
- Storage or transmission of child exploitation content (immediately reported to NCMEC and law enforcement).
- Any activity jeopardizing HarvestEdgeTools’ 501(c)(3) status.
3.3 Harmful Content
Partners may NOT create, distribute, or promote content that:
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or obscene.
- Promotes violence, illegal activity, or self-harm.
- Is intended to deceive, defraud, or mislead (including deepfakes, impersonation, or fabricated testimonials).
- Contradicts the doctrinal standards applicable to the Partner’s account type, as set forth below.
The doctrinal content standard is applied as follows:
- Tier 1 — Universal Orthodox Floor (all Partners): The following are prohibited for all Partners regardless of account type or denominational tradition, as they represent the non-negotiable historic orthodox Christian faith:
- Denial of the Trinity — one God eternally existing in three co-equal, co-eternal persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) — including Arianism, modalism, tri-theism, or Unitarianism.
- Denial of the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Denial of the full deity or the full humanity of Jesus Christ (the historic Christology affirmed at Chalcedon, A.D. 451).
- Denial of the divine inspiration and authority of Scripture.
- Denial of salvation by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ.
- Denial of the exhaustive foreknowledge and omniscience of God (open theism).
- Promotion, as orthodox Christian teaching, of historic heresies condemned by the early ecumenical councils (for example, Gnosticism, Marcionism, or Pelagianism).
- Tier 2 — Baptist-Distinctive Standard (Baptist Partners): For Church Accounts affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention or other Baptist bodies, and for Ministry Account Partners that identify as Baptist-affiliated at onboarding, content that contradicts the doctrinal positions set forth in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 (all 18 Articles), as interpreted by the HarvestEdgeTools theological review process, is prohibited.
- Tier 3 — Intra-Evangelical Latitude (non-Baptist Ministry and Business Account Partners): For Ministry Account and Business Account Partners not affiliated with a Baptist body, content reflecting intra-evangelical differences — including mode of baptism, church governance structures, continuationist or cessationist positions on spiritual gifts, eschatological systems, and differing views on the nature of final punishment (such as conditional immortality / annihilationism) — is permitted, provided it does not contradict the Tier 1 universal orthodox floor. HarvestEdgeTools does not adjudicate intra-evangelical disputes on behalf of non-Baptist Partners.
Note: Baptist identity for purposes of Tier 2 is self-declared by the Partner at onboarding and may be updated by the Account Administrator at any time. HarvestEdgeTools does not require denominational verification or credentialing documentation at signup; a knowingly false declaration is a breach of this Acceptable Use Policy and the Terms of Service and may result in account suspension or termination under Section 4. When in doubt about which tier applies to a specific piece of content, Partners may submit content for review via the appeal process in Section 4.4.
3.4 Political Campaign Activities
- No tools for political campaigns, PACs, or partisan organizations.
- No content constituting campaign intervention under IRS regulations.
- No voter guides, candidate endorsement platforms, or materials jeopardizing tax-exempt status.
Note: This does not restrict a church’s right to speak on moral and social issues from a biblical perspective, conduct nonpartisan voter registration, or engage in activities permissible under 501(c)(3) regulations.
3.5 Competitive and Reverse Engineering
- No extracting, copying, decompiling, or reverse engineering AI agents, models, prompts, or methodologies.
- No automated scraping or harvesting of AI agent outputs.
- No probing or exploiting underlying infrastructure beyond normal-use interfaces.
3.6 System Abuse
- No unauthorized access to other Partners’ data or systems.
- No denial-of-service attacks, cryptocurrency mining, or excessive automated requests.
- No sharing of account credentials with unauthorized individuals.
- No bypassing security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions.
4. Enforcement Process
4.1 Progressive Enforcement
| Step | Action | Timeframe |
| Step 1: Warning | Written notice describing violation | 14 calendar days to respond |
| Step 2: Formal Warning | Formal written warning if unresolved | 7 calendar days to remedy |
| Step 3: Suspension | Temporary suspension of affected services | Up to 30 days |
| Step 4: Termination | Termination of Partnership | Data export provided |
4.2 Grace Period for Good-Faith Mistakes
First-time violations from honest misunderstanding or volunteer error are treated as educational opportunities with a thirty (30) day grace period. This does NOT apply to illegal activity, child exploitation content, or deliberate system abuse.
4.3 Immediate Action
Immediate suspension without notice reserved for: illegal activity, active security breaches, child exploitation content, or imminent risk to infrastructure or Partners.
4.4 Appeal Process
Written appeal within fourteen (14) days to [email protected]. Reviewed within fourteen (14) days. Decision on appeal is final.
5. Fair Use of Shared Frameworks
5.1 Opt-In Framework Sharing
Partners may opt in to share non-proprietary frameworks and templates with the broader ministry community (Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the data sharing consent framework). Participation is entirely voluntary.
5.2 Personal Data Prohibition
Partners who opt in to share frameworks must ensure all shared materials are free of:
- Personally identifiable information (PII) of church members, attendees, donors, staff, or any other individuals.
- Financial records, giving data, or payment information.
- Pastoral care notes, counseling records, or prayer request details.
- Any data subject to confidentiality obligations, HIPAA, or other privacy regulations.
5.3 HarvestEdgeTools Review
Before any Partner framework is made available to other Partners, HarvestEdgeTools will conduct a reasonable review to identify and remove any personal data inadvertently included. However, the primary responsibility rests with the contributing Partner.
6. Modifications
HarvestEdgeTools reserves the right to modify this AUP. Material changes communicated via email at least thirty (30) days before taking effect.
7. Governing Law
