Website Not Loading

If your website isn't loading, don't panic. Most issues have simple solutions. Follow these steps to diagnose and fix the problem.

Step 1: Check Your Internet

Try these:

  • Visit another website (like google.com) to see if your internet works
  • Check if other devices on your network can access the internet
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting to your WiFi
  • Restart your router if nothing else is working

Step 2: Try a Different Browser

Sometimes the issue is with your browser, not the website. Try opening the site in a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge). If it works in another browser, the problem is with your original browser's cache or settings.

Step 3: Clear Your Browser Cache

Quick cache clear:

  • Windows: Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete
  • Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + Delete

Select "Cached images and files" and clear for "All time" or the last hour.

Step 4: Try a Hard Refresh

Force your browser to reload everything:

  • Windows: Press Ctrl + F5
  • Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + R

Step 5: Check on Your Phone

Turn off WiFi on your phone and try loading the website using mobile data. This helps determine if the issue is with your local network or the website itself.

Step 6: Wait a Few Minutes

Sometimes websites experience brief outages during updates or maintenance. Wait 5-10 minutes and try again. If you're checking during a scheduled maintenance window, the site should be back shortly.
